Pedestrian and Bicycle Improvements (Before and After Pedestrian Safety)
- Widened sidewalks
- Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) ramps with detectable warning surfaces
- Sidewalk bulbouts to reduce pedestrian street crossing distance
- Shared vehicle/bicycle travel lanes
- Bulbouts will also dictate parking/loading zones
- Reconfiguration of 18th Street/Florida Avenue/U Street Intersection
- Addition of center turning lanes along 18th Street
